I hired the DJ for my cousins wedding and wrote up a guide playlist and even made a few cds up. He looked at the list and went "so basically you're all 19 again in an indie disco". I said "pretty much". He did a good job, but eventually was asked to play a few more charty/pop songs so everyone in the room was catered for.


With that in mind I used to play in a wedding band and we dj'ed the odd time after. 9-5 by Dolly Parton never ever failed to get women on the dance floor. I hate that song but it saved our bacon a few times. Sugababes and Beyonce have a fair few danceable songs and Justin of course. Basically, if noone's dancing try to appeal to the non-musically picky females. Men won't get up first but will head bang to ACDC when hammered.

What a wonderful world by Joey Ramone is a good way to end whatever the crowd is.
