To revive and reiterate the point about putting on gigs in the Bohs Bar. The club is not a charity or a youth club. It is however also not a money grubbing cesspit like most boozers around town. The decent thing to do if you want to keep Bohs as a DIY venue is the following.
IF YOUR GIG GOES REALLY WELL AND THE BAR IS OBVIOUSLY DOING WELL (Say $400+ estimated takings). The venue is FREE.
IF YOUR GIG GOES ALRIGHT AND A BIT OF BOOZE IS SOLD (Say $200 takings at a guess). YOU SHOULD PAY A GRATUITY OF AT LEAST 50 Euro to Fiachra.
IF YOUR GIG IS A DISASTER AND THERE IS NEXT TO NOBODY THERE THE BARMAN STILL HAS TO BE PAID FOR HIS SHIFT..I.e. you shouuld have to stump up his wages (probably around 100 Euro).
Simple as that really. The basic thing is not to assume the venue is free as legitimate costs need to be covered. If you are promoting anything in the Bohs Bar please have contingency cash with you to cover if you have a shit night.
I thought everyone was aware of this but if pple don't play ball then Fiachra will just get a pain in the hole with the whole arrangement and pull the plug.
