Life In Tokyo RULES.

Both songs in this performance are so pretentious and brilliant.

The entire Tin Drum is like a parallel version of Remain in Light where they arrived at almost the same place completely unconsciously and with no sense of humour in their all caps ART.

I couldn't get anyone to go with me to that 1991 yoke. Bet it was deadly. Columbia Mills was grand but a bit too slick. Actual drummer. Horn section.
For once, I just wanted to see two blokes come onstage with a guitar and an accordion. Was that so wrong?

Bearing in mind it was 22 years ago and my memory continues to delete itself as I crawl on my face through the anus of existence, I seem to remember the curtain going up and the two dapper chappers opening their marvelous set by marching around the stage; the one with that giant saxophone draped around him, bellowing deeply like Grandpa Whale, the other with a proper marching-band style bass drum strapped to his person, front and centre, like he was a happy little Orangeman hearing the good news of a new famine for the potato-addicted free-staters! Twere a joy to behold, if such things can actually be held?

And Justice For All 9???????? and Kill Em All only 6??????? Ride The Lightning only 7.5?????????? Crazy talk.

I find And Justice For All to be pretty close to unlistenable these days. Awful sounding record with way too long songs, that have too many parts that are played for too long too many times.

Kill em All-9.9
Ride The Lightning-10
Master of Puppets-9.8
And Justice For All-2
The Black Album-4
Load-6
Reload-4.5
That awful record with the orchestra-0
St Anger-0
Whatever that last one was called-4

Metallica

Kill Em All 9
Ride The Lightning 10
Master Of Puppets 10
And Justice For All 8.5
--------------------------
The Black Album (still don't own it. For me It represents their fall from grace)
Load (Bought it, sold it)
Reload (never heard it)
St Anger (it was okay at best)
Death Magnetic ( haven't heard it, must give it a go)

IMHO from 83-88...the best metal band ever. They set the standard in the 80's.
