hill walking is so much better in the pissings of rain too,i had a very lazy summer on that front,now that the grey is back im all about it again.there's nothing better than traipsing over a rain sodden hill deep in the night when every sensible person is tucked up at home.

Is it really terrible in Dublin too, then? I got the train from Clapham to Brighton this morning and had to walk the 15 minutes home in a skirt with no tights or anything and I was so cold my hands hurt and I had to cry because other wise Id be dead!

ah here, try cycling in it. My brain froze, I was battered by hailstones, faced a 100-mile-an-hour (ok, I exaggerate slightly) wind, cycled through several flooded stretches of road.

I too, like jonah, cried, or else I'd be dead.
