RACINE are a five piece Rock N Roll band.

A mix of NYC and London players, fronted and formed by WENDY JAMES.

Wendy was the iconic singer in Transvision Vamp, she also made a record with Elvis Costello. She currently resides in NYC RACINE 2 is entirely penned and produced by James, who in the live line-up plays rhythm guitar also. Through the medium of MySpace and iTunes, and internet sites such as Pitchfork and Buddyhead, RACINE have become one of the most talked about and eagerly anticipated upcoming bands around today - and RACINE 2 is bearing out that anticipation, as it has met with rapturous delight, blown many minds and made an impact in iTunes sales, reaching 27000 + sales in just
four weeks.

The European spring tour 07 was an amazing sell-out success, taking in residencies at Fleche D'or, Le Paris Paris and Le Baron in Paris, The Paradiso in Amsterdam, Stengade 30 in CPH, Razzmatazz in BCN, White Trash and Rio in Berlin, multiple nights across London, Dublin and Madrid where they were compared consistently to The Stooges, The New York Dolls, The Patti Smith Group and even The Fall.
