here's some of the quotes about The Fall's 28th album - but first on Domino - released this week.

they play Tripod tomorrow Thurs 29th April, with doors opening 7:30pm. tickets from €22.50

Sunday Times Culture (4*) – “This glides on streamlined grooves, eschewing the scuffed scree of old”

The Observer (CD of the Week) – “Finds Smith and his cohorts in spry and propulsive form”

Independent on Sunday (CD of the Week) – “Thrilling, like a punk gig in the engine of 747”

Financial Times (4*) – “Smith is an incomparable lyricist”

Daily Telegraph (4*) – “They have revved up their usual belligerence to thrilling effect”

Shortlist – “Easily their most intense album for years.”

Time Out – “Hopefully, Smith’ll be doing this for years”

NME (8) – “The Best New Band In Britain, because that is what The Fall still clearly are.”

Mojo (4*) – “The best thing the band have recorded in years.”

Sunday Business Post - "One of the band's strongest works in the past 20 years...[it] will keep fans utterly riveted until album 29"

Hot Press - "Even after 34 years The Fall are still making quality records. Thank God for the dependable things in life"

they are indeed. €22.50 from road, city discs or ticketshafter. or you can pay on the door.

there are also a small number of balcony seated tickets left at €28.50, but not many so you should probably buy today

fuck that
he sounds like Eamon Dunphy after having a stroke, trying to impersonate PIL era Johnny rotten

Who did win the tickets????

SHOW YERSELVES!!

I'm offering a full body massage, all the trimmings,to whoever won the tickets to make me their plus one!

Cant say fairer than that!!

I'm going to the off licence cos the least I can do tonight is get drunk.

Turns out it was ten. Great skit!

'S cool Lefty. I relaxed with a beer and chatted with friends.

Who was the dude doing sonics/visuals before hand? Sabbath thing was decent, rest was shite.

Good gig; can't believe they got yanked off during Blindness.

I'd like to see The Fall do an all ages show. Too many old cunts at their gigs.

Are you sure they were yanked off? From what I could see it was Mark E Smith who pulled the plug on himself.
