living in wicklow were selection is few i realised i was missing out on all the new stuff.

The cottage pie isn't that nice. it's 90% potato. And it's really expensive.

The chiggen boigaz are great! I wish i'd known sooner...

I've also seen in someones gaf, quorn chicken pieces for tortilla wraps and these kiev fillets complete with fake ham bits...
Never before has being a vegetarian required such little imagination.

Does anyone have any quorn recipes?

those fake rashers you get in America (and maybe here, who knows) are real scary. Fake meat with some fake fat at the side. I was too afraid to buy them

heh. i saw vegan prawns, complete with tiny veiny marks, in the US. no shell, though - notverysimiltude, really.

yeah i heard about that. That's pretty annoying. Goes to show it's not as hippy as it a lot of it's consumers... But at the same time quorn is conning loads of meat eaters with their advertising campaigns.


One of my pals made this yesterday

hard tortilla shells, warmed in the open
quorn mince fried with red and green peppers, red kidney beans and red onions with tortilla sachet spices
mild white cheddar grated
lettuce
salsa

aaaaaaahhhh mazing.

I used to love Quorn stuff but its mostly pretty crappy tasting I think. The sausages are ok I guess. Beware those ready meals definitley because those things have pretty much your whole daily fat allowance in them apparently.

Annoyes me that Quorn dont even use free range eggs. Fuck sake! Big up the Linda McCartney!

scrapped due to poor sales as far as i can gather. i wonder if they were expecting people to eat it for health reasons or if they thought vegetarians would turn up and go nuts on the things, side-stepping the obvious moral conflict. the mind boggles...
