The company believes the fervour greeting the console launch has already slowed, with gamers put off by forced software and hardware bundles which in some cases can see the retail price doubled.

well, they've certainly shot themselves in the foot with trying to push blu-ray drive which is the root of the delays.

apparently the stuff HD DVD can do is pretty impressive i.e. like the ability to substitute a head on an actor with your own - it can be all tied into the making of a hd disc. and blu-ray players use java. let's wait for the first blu-ray player virus.

started off pretty good, loco roco had me buzzing for a bit, but then release dates for games started to get more and more vague.. interest in releasing anything on UMD other than soft porn or shit films seems to have vanished too

i've barely seen anything that'd i'd bother coughing up for in the last six months..what gives???

having worked for the cunts for 3.5 years, i can honestly say id never buy another piece of Sony equipment ever again. ever. ever. ever. they have been a sub-par company making over-priced products for years now and a re only getting worse. just beacuase they used to be reknown as a 'quality' brand. theyre organisational skills are laughable and thier customer care and technical knowledge leaves alot to be desired. i am delighted to see the PS3 being a flop. i hope it kills them. purrricks

Haven't been looking for a wii, but haven't seen any in the EBGames shops I've been to, so i presume the wii's are selling out just as fast as the ps3's.

The Playstation shop beside our hotel in SF seemed to be getting in PS3s a half a dozen at a time, with large queues appearing almost instantly. Was so very, very tempted.

I don't think the PS3 is a flop. Shit, it's only been out a couple of weeks. But, along with all the reports of lacklustre performance and frame rate issues, if Microsoft throw money at Konami until Metal Gear Solid 4 is no longer exclusive to PS3, I reckon it's all over.

its known in the industry that sony fucked up! they had exc;usive deals for a number of games that they didnt seal and now they are not exclusive anymore. they could have had gta4 exclusive but they chose not to. I dont think ya can call it a flop yet but the fact that the main man behind it mizoguchi has been 'moved' to a different area makes you think that even sony know they made some bad choices!

Got a couple of new PSP games for christmas (Vice City Stories, Football Manager 2007), stuck them in the PSP, was told I could not play them until I had upgraded my firmware! So for three days I had new games, no access to a wireless network, and was therefore unable to play new games on my PSP.
