PRS Guitars - Beauty or Beast? (1 Viewer)

I have a love hate relationship with PRS guitars. Santana uses one (bad) but so does Isaac Brock from Modest Mouse (good). Sometimes I think they look horrible, sometimes I want to own one. They're obviously a great guitar but would you buy one? Your thoughts.

it's the body of a a "superstrat" (*shudder*) with the stylings of a ES335... mixed emotions... I'm torn and have gone for "I don't care"

Ever think about getting an Eastwood. The Sidejack and the High Flyer are similar to those dipinto's.

Y'know really, there's only a couple of guitars I could be bothered getting my nightie in a knot for:

Jag
Jazzmaster
Tele
SG
Mustang
Maybe a 335/Gretsch.

Everything else can pretty much go to hell.

mmm, i know what you mean about PRS. they aint trendy and they are very expensive. have played one and it felt really nice but very small. they one i played had p90s in it too and really did sound very nice. but to be bonest i wouldn't spend that much money on a PRS. for that kind of green i'd wan one of these:

s'funny after years of being very meh-heh, I'm slowly getting the horn for Les Pauls lately... I've been thinking I need a guitar with humuckers (yes I said NEED, not want...) and am slowly being drawn to a Les Paul, albeit probably an epiphone one.

I've never had a guitar with humbuckers, I feel like I might be missing out
