Nope, the light is really coming from the hole in the dome. It's the Pantheon in Rome, an amazing place.

Cheers. It was actually a huge seating pen in the vatican, for people that want to look at Mr. Pope when he's taking a stroll on his balcony.

yep yep. it's pretty fantastic, i went to see it at night and had to go back the next day to see it again in daylight.

nice. i have a few similarly overexposed ones. taking photos in a church makes me really uncomfortable (even when it's full of people doing just that, i'm still the athiest who genuflects) so i didn't mess around long enough to get anything decent.

it's nice at night, with all the votive candles. i kind of forgot the whole gothic cathedral/daylight thing until i got there, though...selling it a bit short.

The Pantheon is amazing, but it seems to be impossible to take photographs that reflect it other than the same few angles. :/
