whats the story with ordering heavy gear online?
do you get slapped with massive extra costs due to the weight?
the Stage 1600 weighs 53lbs, could be dodgy

also not sure about the 21% sales tax, a lot of sites dont say whether it's included..?

I'd look into getting one off these, but I'd check the reviews first. As for internet shoping I believe that with Thomann you pay €23 for postage and the 21%tax is already included if you entered the site from the Irish option....I think!

Also, it's loud as all hell, even though it's a low-watt amp.

just realised there's one of those in the office here beside me. loud bastard alright. it's a bit treble-midrange-tastic though... ouch. but once you roll off a bit of top end and leave it on the floor it sounds pretty good from where I'm sitting, (usually behind a drumkit).

and there's a roland jazz chorus 77 here, which is a cool amp that I've been minding. for the last five years...

no. thomann's prices are calculated including irish vat so there's no problem there. t'would be a different story if you were buying shit from the U.S. though. or so I have read...
