PEARSE MCGLOUGHLIN IN SESSION ON RTÉ 2XM
Chris Morrin, aka Robotnik, gets the week going on RTÉ 2XM tonight, Tuesday 30 March at 7pm as Robotnik's Random Rampage discusses the bizarre world of unusual religions and cults, touching upon such religions as The Church Of Diego Maradona (80,000 members!) and The Church Of Euthanasia (were they eat each other for breakfast). If you thought Catholicism was controversial in recent months, think again. These bunch of new religions knock Catholicism out of the park when it comes to eyebrow raising. While things get seriously holy in the RTÉ studios, Chris Morrin somehow manages to play some tunes in between the sermons from the likes of Miles Davis, The XX, New Order and much much more. Repeated Friday at 6pm.
Cian McCarthy and Keith Brett follow with Needs More Cowbell at 8pm where there'll be more music from their session with Pearse McGloughlin. They’ll also be giving a sneak preview of a session they recorded with the very talented Amanda Bes from Brighton. The full session and interview will be played out in the next few weeks. There’s also a disco classic as the guilty pleasure song and music from the Antlers who we're delighted to announce have agreed to record a session for Needs More Cowbell when they come to play Dublin in May. On Wednesday at 10pm there’s new music on Click Clack from Bonnie Prince Billy and The Cairo Gang, Caribou and Quebecian metal overlords Aeternam. Repeated on Saturday at 3pm.

Inches descends to levels of Heat magazine celeb-plunging (well, not quite) this week at 11pm, with a whole hour of tunes dedicated to acts featuring husband and wife partnerships.
