Last Out On A Limb news update of '07!!
CRAYONSMITH
Crayonsmith are currently finishing the recording of their second album 'White Wonder', tentatively scheduled for release on Out On A Limb on Friday February 29th 2008. In the meantime, you can hear a demo of new track 'Anxious' on the Crayonsmith myspace, as well as a cover of The Flaming Lips' 'Christmas At The Zoo' from a rare split single with windings (2004).

GIVEAMANAKICK
gamak's third album is all recorded and ready to roll. It's gonna be out in April 08; it's called 'Welcome To The Cusp', and we can't wait for everyone else to hear it! Before all that, they finish off this year with their annual Christmas blitz; including the hometown big one with a hoedown at Bakers in Limerick.

HOORAY FOR HUMANS
'Safekeeping' is out since the end of October, and you can pick it up in all good record stores. Also available on Itunes and all that jazz, plus in physical form from the Road Records and Tower websites in Dublin. You can read reviews etc on the band's myspace. The band's got a new drummer (Tom), and are currently breaking from live action to write some new tunes. A new release is coming in Spring, a video is lined up too, and a tour will happen in February and March.

Rest's gig at Ping Pong (Liquid Lounge) on Saturday, December 22 is their last Cork gig for the foreseeable future. "We'll be taking time out to finish writing the follow up to this years Operation: Impending Doom. There are some plans for a handful of gigs in February/March in Limerick / Dublin /Belfast - more details in the New Year."

TEN PAST SEVEN
Ten Past Seven have just finished their Highest Bands in Ireland tour with fellow mountaineers, Los Langeros with all their limbs intact. Thanks to everyone that came to the gigs and bought the split single. If you missed the gigs then you can read all about them on the website www.highestbandsinireland.com in the tour diary section. Now that this adventure is over, the band are busy concocting another expedition even more daring and dangerous than the last.
Ten Past Seven will be playing a pre-Christmas gig in An Brog, Cork on Wednesday 19th December. Anyone who dresses like Santa or is heard humming Christmas tunes, will be given a spot prize of a kick in the groin. And maybe a badge.

Yo! We're gonna be putting the whole back catalogue up on our myspace to buy via Paypal over the next week or two. Everything will be pretty cheap (or keenly priced in marketing speak). Thanks for your support this year, and have a good Christmas. We're very excited about 2008, and if we make to the summer without pulling out our hair and teeth, the label is gonna be five years old. Whoop!
