Nothing is the new everything... (1 Viewer)

Again, that's something that can equally be said about composition. You need to spend some time in the Derek Bailey School of Hard Chords!

For an improv laugh, click here:

and then click through to the Audio Ad via the buttons at the top of the page.

nothing should be something. I go with an open mind.

the rest of you are all a buch of greasy muppets. improvisation? yer all takin s**** about improvisation.

metamusic wank shut up.compostion more wank, shut up again.

arse to the lot of you, you tits.

The deal is you're an idiot, you idiot, you inhuman streak of misery(my new favourite insult)

ok, lowdown on the first night.

spectac - rocking, did have some minor problems with distortion on the desk though, but very nice electronica. ditto with chequerboard and hardsleeper. unfortunately missed formika, but heard good reports. chalets - excellent as usual, and they've got the same accordion as me now aswell the bastards. the tycho brahe were lovely, excellent guitar mash up from dee dermody at the end, and donal playing his guitar with an electric razor or something that looked like it. also the bass playing was flawless

roll on tonight.

night 2.

highlight for me was definately amoebazoid, pure processed viciousness. the fear were fantastic as well, really entertaining to watch, but i was a bit miffed that i missed nina hynes and daemian frost.

unfortunately not. nina hynes did however come and watch our gameboy set and danced with sarah down the back. and loads of people glared at them.

i always think its so funny how audiences change once there are seats involved. we were dancing for gods sake. :)

The nothing Gigs were pretty good. Tyco Brahe was fairly interesting, that girl has a sweet voice. And The Chalets were on fine form. I can't remember the names of all of the other stuff I saw, but most of it was cool. Well worth 8 yoyos.:D

The Friday door monkeys never asked to see my ticket, just if I had one. I said yes and they said right so.

This was especially annoying since I actually had 3, having bought one for the girlf and one for a friend who didn't show up.

Canadian !ironyyy at its finest.

i thought the tycho brahe were absolutely amazing at nothing.
i wasn't crazy about the previous incarnations but i think they have the mix right now. totally the best thing about nothing. i can't wait to see them play a whole set live... and i still can't believe i ate the whole thing...

we are getting closer to having a full set - rehearsing for a gig next week with Uptown Racket Club in the project - weds 16th and thurs 17th. For anyone who hasn't seen URC they are unbelievably good live.

there is also talk of both bands doing a cover together .... mmmm.... 5 guitars.
