heya
i've a nokia e71
and i imagine it's the same trick for other nokias with full qwerty keypads

up to a few days ago
when i was just on the standard home screen and i started pressing letters
for instance JOH, all the names in my phone book that contained the name JOHN

very handy, but a few days ago it just disappeared and only the numbers come up now. i have fiddled with all the settings but can't find how to put it back on.]

can anyone help

it's hard to find -

go to tools > settings > phone > call - then scroll down to the bottom and change "contact search" to 'on'
