Every know and again I'll hear a tune and I'll think back to the first time I heard it. Quite often I'll realise that during the time in question I was a spotty teenager sitting on my couch in my living room in Athlone watching Donal Dineen era No Disco on a TV with only two channels. ah yes. no disco was on a bit too late for me on a school night. i used to video plus it though. good times. i still have a couple of videos worth of old taped shows from the uaneen era at home somewhere. must dig em out.

Also Jesus Blood Never Failed Me Yet, by Gavin Bryars, I think it's the version with Tom Waits. Can't find the video for it on youtube, maybe it was a Dinnen original so... mind blowing stuff when your 16 years old...
