Nice one, niggledy bits, really enjoying this (as usual). Only familiar with the Atrix, Microdisney and Blades tracks so the rest is all new to me. I really like that Those Nervous Animals track.

Wonderful, going to listen to this on the way to work tomorrow.

Yeah, this is a cracker alright. The Brush Shiels track is probably my favourite(!)
I wonder where he got that from!! nice one niggles. I was a big fan of the late 80s failed pop music scene. Cry Before Dawn and The Fountainhead would have been my favourite bands of that time (plus, (whisper it), 12 year old me was also a big fan of the first Aslan album). Question for you (a little on the obscure side I know) - in 1987 2fm ran a song contest. The winners would each win a support slot for Chris de Burgh gigs in the RDS. I won tickets for one on Barry Lang's Hotline so went. The support band that night were called Flex in/and the Fast Weather. They had 1 song that got some airplay at the time and I thought it pretty good. The only lyrics I recall from it are something like, 'stop, waiting in the rain, have you heard that, shes back again'. Anyhow, the question is - do you know it? Can you recall the name of the song or, god forbid, would you have a copy of it? I'll download this one later. You could actually do several volumes of these types of acts. Probably an entire volume comprised of bands that Kieran Kennedy was in!

come on people. I fully believe niggly put loads of thought into that title. It needs appreciation

Didn't Bono have a crack at InDublin magazine during Bad or whatever endless song they closed with?
They'd ran some story called "Let's Make It Worse" much to Herr Bono's annoyance.
Maybe it was during Maggie's Farm.

My abiding memory of the night is Bono sharing a flagon with a bunch of heads outside that couldn't get in, thereby copper-fastening his man-of-the-people street credentials forever.

Did Freddie White really get just 5 minutes?
