new captain a song,

[ame="http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7Z86K6hcBkA"]YouTube - new years tide - captain a[/ame]

i've been trying to record the recording of the next album.

lyrics:

ice cream and dew and the fresh air and views
the pastel palisades and the buckets and the spades
the footsteps on the crumbling peer and tiny storns of sand
and the postcard sent without a word

no one lives in these coastal towns
but the ghosts of you and me
who've come to wet thier feet
to walk out in the new years tide
the violent northern brew
to cleanse them of thier silent summer blues

thanks washingcattle.

i should go to gorey sometime to see what you mean. the song itself came from a load of guys in inishowen who all run out into the sea on new years day and then march up town for a pint. but in my head i set it in bundoran, which is one of those towns by the sea that turns ghostly in winter. the new video didnt work out (the snow snowed in my organ guy) so there will be a half assed version of the new recording and video popping up tomorrow.

new version, with hastily prepared unfinished video.

Astronomy Ireland has urged people to consider beginning their New Year celebrations with an 'Eclipse Party' this year.

For the first time since 1656, New Year's Eve will coincide with a lunar eclipse, which will be visible to everyone in Ireland (and most of the world) between 7pm and 8pm tomorrow.
