After two listens I think it's very decent. There's a touch of the Souls at Zero sound mixed with the sort of sound from The Eye of Every Storm....veeery nice, can't wait to hear the full album.

I think it's a total return to form after last couple of LPs. Saw this live in London in November and they destroyed like never before, the newer material sounding the heaviest if anything. Live I kept thinking there was a lot of "Souls..." about it also...particularly another track "Distill".

I don't think so...just minimalist and subtle...I was really hoping since the collaboration with Jarboe that the electronic elements they've started to incorporate would progress in a way like this, started to see it on "The Eye..." and now it's really melding with the Neurosis sound...

I approve..|..| not the blast furnace heaviness I was hoping for but much darker than the last few records.Nice.
