New Dntel (1 Viewer)

got through a nice chunk of it at work - really like it

Collaboration-heavy - Grizzly Bear dude, Fog, Conor Oberst, Lali Puna, Arthur & Yu (great track ), Jenny Lewis

Sorry Charlie Bucket by the way for not reading first

can't listen in work.any good collaborators?

Dumb Luck features vocal contributions from friends Jenny Lewis (Rilo Kiley), Edward Droste (Grizzly Bear), Valerie Trebeljahr and Markus Acher (Lali Puna), Mia Doi Todd, Grant Olsen and Sonya Westcott (Arthur & Yu), Andrew Broder (Fog), Conor Oberst (Bright Eyes) and Christopher and Jennifer Gunst (Mystic Chords of Memory), along with the organic instrumentation by Chris Hathwell (drums, Moving Units) and Paul Larson (guitar, The Minor Canon).

haha ciaran r beat me to it!!!!

if that isn't good, i'll eat me hat

this album has got me thinkin about the "album as we know it is dead" phenomenon that people talk about - y'know how we're all just track obsessed as opposed to album obsessed these days due to low attentions spans and myspace etc (apparently)....well if thats the case then this dntel album is the exact example of an album thats not an album - every track features different collaborators - so i dont know if its hangs together as a cohesive collection...its an interesting approach to take to makin an "indie/electronica" record (or whatever genre dntel finds himself trapped in)....he's more like a producer in the hiphop/r'n'b style where every song has a "feat.".......
