Just chancing my arm here,but does anyone have a spare psu fan in an old machine they could let me have?
My one is about to go and I'm skint.

The CPU fan is going in my GFs computer - its making a shite racket. I was thinking of chancing it by unplugging it and leaving the side off the PC..You think it will still overheat?

Cpu fans are necessary, but leaving the side of the box open is ok for Psu but not cpu

Yeah defo need a functional cpu fan.It'll be bsod without one.
