I've recorded some stuff on minidisc that I want to transfer onto CD. I'm a completly new to this and it'll probably be a one off so I'd rather not spend much money buying new equipment.
I've got a net MD Minidisc recorder and a PC. I've got no sound programs except for windows media encoder. Also have access to a mac with Garageband but I can't install any new programs onto it. I tried using a lead to connect the headphone socket of the minidisc to the microphone socket of my PC and capture it with windows media encoder but it sounded shite.
Can anyone tell me what I should do? (Please bear in mind I know nothing about this kind of thing)
I could possibly record the sound onto a DV tape of a video camera using a mini-disc mic and then import that to Final cut pro and find a way to save only the sound. Anyone got any experience of this?
