Well anyway, some of the album is really great and the rest is really not. It's good when she's not just singing about drugs and saying fuck a lot. I like that Slab of Butter song a lot.

It's way better second time around, deadly even. I recognize a few riffs/musical bits from recent flaming lips albums.

This new album is a classic, I've concluded. Better than the white album. I hope it gets a double vinyl release. What's Nicky Minaj like? This review - Miley Cyrus: Miley Cyrus and Her Dead Petz - says "if Cyrus were to pay closer attention, she might recognize Minaj as a trailblazer for the career path she's trying to take" but it's such an off-the-mark review I don't think I believe her.

Finally got around to this. Not really feeling it. On first listen I liked one or two tracks; especially When I Needed You. It mainly seems a bit anonymous though. 100% solidly written but it's not doing much for me.

TBH i'm getting more entertainment from the very defensive positive reviews it's been getting.



edit: I'll probably try it a few more times since everyone seems to be loving it so much. It might grow on me!
