Got a new computer before Christmas and can't for the life of me get the fucking thing to recognise my bespeco usb-midi cable that I got in music maker.
Had this problem before on a laptop and then it just mysteriously started working. There are no drivers with the thing, I plug it in and windows update searches for the drivers and just doesn't find them. I see it in device manager under "other devices" labelled as USB Midi Interface. I click to update drivers and drivers are not found

googling is no help - loads of people with the same problem and no solutions
