I was going to go to this, not sure what to make of thse bad reviews though. What was wrong with it?

And also, is Nick Cave actually performing at these, or was it just the music he wrote and someone else playing it?

Warren Ellis and Nick Cave wrote the incidental music, and a Nick Cave song is played at the end - but it's all recorded.

The piece itself is a fairly twee version of the story with an acrobat playing insect-boy.

It's all quite underwhelming.

Hmmm, I dunno...I think i'm gonna just have to go and see it for myself. Nothing else is gonna quell my curiosity.

There's other stuff I want to check out at that awwrts fest anyway so I may as well go see it while i'm there.

I went to see this last night. Excellent. The ending is quite powerful and moving.
