Yes, fuckin' painterly in places - those closing shots.Yep, definite wow! factor with the visuals.
Pitch perfect acting, too-sharp script. The first season only got going from about the fifth episode.

Stay your torch burning, villager; i did'nt say it was better. It does have the best production design i've seen in a long time though. Apparantly a lot of it is original stuff.

I love this show so much. I've already watched season 2. In fact, I watched both seasons in about a week. Very addictive. Stellar writing and it builds nicely with well developed (no pun intended) characters. Obviously, very different from the wire but I love it for many of the same reasons.
