Looking for a laptop in the €500 euro range? (1 Viewer)

The girlfriend is looking for a new laptop for (mostly) work.
Willing to pay up too €500 euro. I haven't bought a laptop for years so I dunno
what brands are best now. So any one recommend a brand/model and best palce to
purchase one.

It'll be mostly used for Office (excel etc) and Browsing as well as some entertainment (watching movies etc).
Probably a 15.6" screen or there abouts. I would say intergrated graphics would be fine since she isn't a gamer.

South Circular Computers in Dublin for refurbs and new ones, and come wtih gaurantees for refurbs, Get a Lenovo ( IBM ) if ya can, great hardware in Lenovo's...

thumped died while i was replying. all i was going to say is that i got my refurbs years ago online, and buying local in the case of a refurb as suggested there is a way better idea.

my macbook is refurb from ebay and was 450, had to do 1 repair myself which nearly turned my hair grey, so local is easier.
