looking for a file converter (a free one) (1 Viewer)

dBPower Amp want money from me! Can someone tell me is there another freeware sound file converter. Not trying to do anything fancy, just wav to mp3 for the moment.


dBPower Amps website claims: "a legal challenge (claims of patent infringement) has forced a change, the world cannot have a free mp3 encoder so it seems"

alltomp3 gold is the one i use. http://www.yuansoft.com/. it converts the most different audio types of any program of its type that i've seen. and it lets you do it for free, albeit that you can only do three files at a time unless you purchase - which is only a minor inconvenience really.
