anyone got one? any brands to look for/avoid?
thinking of getting one for the summer, a cruising one.
how much would a decent enough one cost?
looking at this birdhouse one on ebay, is it likely to be rubbish since its so cheap? its shorter than most other longboards i've seen too.
the same board comes with birdhouse trucks and wheels for $100 on lots of other sites.
or would i be better off getting a pintail? its just gonna be for buzzing round parks and city in the summer, no crazy downhilling or anything.
anyone with a clue holler back.

Looks a bit short to me but I've only ever been around carvers.
longboards have a good site explaining everything you need to know.

There's some friends of a friend doing boards in Ireland but I'll have to try and remember their name.

all I can say is don't ever try to ollie one. they break surprisingly easily.

there's a group of heads based in I think limerick or perhaps shannon (!!!) that make nice longboards. will try and find their web address if they still exist.........

Same lads I reckon. The site used to qlongboards.com but that's gone now. They still have the furniture/design company at kernel32.ie

finally decided on this, getting an Earthwing Supercharger with Randall 180's and Pink Powerballs.
Fucking sexy

Besides st annes, phoenix park, and clontarf coast road cycle lane where else in this kippy city might be good for a spot of cruising/carving?
