When I was a lad, embarking on a life of rock I saw an ad in a 70s DC comic for a Kiss pendant. The ad was a drawing of the lads arranged sort of Bohemian Rhapsody style. Impressed? I thought these guys must be the greatest band that ever lived! So I painted the picture on my bedroom wall about 6 foot high.

It remained there for years, all the while I still hadn't heard the bands music, but it looked great!.

Then came 'Crazy Crazy Nights'.

I considered painting over it right there and then...but it was a cool picture, and surely "their earlier stuff" must rock!?!

So time passed and I eventually left home. Periodically my Dad would repaint the bedroom , always leaving the Kiss painting untouched. I think he felt it wouldn't be right after all the work I'd put into it and I assume he thought I was a huge Kiss fan!

In the end I had to paint over it myself one Christmas when I was home, just to release my Dad from the obligation if nothing else.

And it was with some regret that I erased it from existence, 10 years after I'd painted it, without even a photo to remind me.

But still, "Crazy Crazy Nights"?
