Here's some news from NY based Kid Silver/ Ken Griffin cohort John O Mahony!

Unfortunatley i have no recent news,work has been at a
standstill since DEC 30th 2001 (the day i completed
mixing a 5 song demo of the new material)..... since
then i have been out of town a lot,mostly in L.A.
working on other projects .....you see since the events
of last year all the record labels have shut down their
New York work and have not indicated when it will start
up again leaving Ken in a position where it is more
difficult get a record deal now then it has been in the
past.
well lets just say NYC has seen better
times and will again sooner rather than later we all
hope. In the meantime I've left the Demos in Ken's
hands to conduct the appropiate meetings and all the
label bullshit and hope to hear some good news of a
signing in the near future so we can go do it all for
real.
If there are any exciting bands you know of in
need of some help from over here send me their demos
and i'll see if theres anything i can do for them or a
least pass them on to the labels.
So i guess all there is to write about KS for now is:
*completed demos,
*Ken is talking to NYC based labels,
*John is off mixing other peoples records,
*John is also coproducing with Scott Minor from
sparklehorse tracks for "A Girl Called Eddy" due for a
summer release in the U.K. on setanta records.
*New York music scene in very bad shape.
*New sonic youth record in June has me very excited!
