!Kaboogie Records explodes onto the scene with the much-..anticipated “Squidge EP” - four tracks of bass-heavy dance-floor wreckers from Ireland's most evil producers!

Kicking off affairs, Prince Kong is a man on a mission to blow up the dance! With releases on Middle Management and Alphabet Set, as well as being featured on both !Kaboogie label samplers, Kong is a prolific producer who's incendiary live shows are earning him a reputation on the Irish underground party scene. A tough ragga riddim underlies this track, with MC Jah Balance calling us all to 'Rise Up' as the breaks kick in. Guaranteed to get the place heaving!

Lakker are composed of Dara Smith and Ian McDonnell. They have been described as “one of the best electronic acts in Ireland” by the Journal of Music in Ireland, and after listening to “Unexpected Error”, it's clear how they earned this accolade. In their seven years writing music together, they've released everything from electro-..acoustic soundscape pieces to mashed-up death-..metal-sampling breakcore on labels such as Alphabet Set, Go Away, Lazybird and Risc, as well as playing alongside acts such as The Bug, Tim Exile, Cylob, Aaron Spectre and Andrew Weatherall. “Unexpected Error” features paranoia-..inducing swathes of bass combined with fast-paced beats. A brief interlude to gather breath is pure nightmare scenario evilness!

16 Hertz, aka Simon Lynch, makes his vinyl debut with the massive “16 Tons”. A beast of a track that combines half-step percussion with a huge brass riff, it's been rinsed at many a party in the last few months and become quite the signature track! Simon is part of improvised modular synthesis group 'Push Move Click' and is currently living and playing live in Berlin.

Belfast's Thatboytim is no stranger to vinyl. He's had a brace of releases on his own electro imprint, Takeover Records, and currently hosts the weekly “Dubbed-Up, Raved-Out” show on Dublin's Power 99.5FM. Tim closes the EP with “Past The End”, a bass-heavy booty electro tune, featuring a haunting vocal line, telling us to “Go past the end, slip into fall, head over tail, to nothing at all”.
