Mark Lanegan Band, 17th January, The Academy
The band is touring in support of PHANTOM RADIO, a new full-length album that will be released October 21, 2014 on Flooded Soil/Vagrant Records.
Lanegan began his musical career in 1984, forming the grunge band Screaming Trees. During his time in the band, Lanegan also started a low-key solo career and released his first solo studio album, The Winding Street, in 1990. Since 1990, he has released a further six studio albums and has received critical recognition and commercial success. Lanegan also formed The Gutter Twins who played Belfast in 2008, and has collaborated with artists ranging from Nirvana’s Kurt Kobain to Scottish Outfit Belle & Sebaastian, as well as becoming a member of Queens Of The Stone Age for five albums from 2000 onwards.
