Just came acroos this image while looking for something else and it brought back lots of memories of staying home from school (they never showed any of this stuff IN my school for some reason). I used to go up to the tv and 'rub off' the seconds while waiting for the next program. I remember being off sick for a couple of weeks and they showed The Caucasian Chalk Circle in a semi musical format. Twas Deadly!

Totally forgot about Picture Box! I'll have that music in my head all day now!

I always found the Picture Box dude kind of creepy.

We used to 'shoot' the clock thing - 'Peee-owww!'

Was thinking, we used to watch an awful lot of telly in school in England - I take it Irish teachers in the 70s were lazy too? We used to be told to put our heads down and go to sleep sometimes.
