Italian Restaurant? (1 Viewer)

I need a Dublin city centre restaurant, Italian (pizza/pasta), suitable for kids, situated in a part of town not likely to have people vomiting on the street outside or shooting up or whatever, that could likely accommodate 18 people on Saturday evening! and is tasty and good value. Help! Anyone got any ideas?

I liked Ciao Bella Roma on parliment street when I was there a few years ago but I've had other folks complain about it since. It used to be mad cheap.

There's a place in Ranelagh Marios I think it's called. It's pretty good.

The best Italian food in Dublin is probably Don Mimi in north strand

It's fucking class, 18 people might be pushing it but on the other hand you could probably just rent the whole restaurant.

Milano is always a safe bet, and some of them have play area's for kids. Not sure about the Temple bar one.

Yes I think Milano's is where it is going to be. Lowest common denominator but will fit the bill.

Da Mimmo has the best pizza in Dublin, by a mile. Dirt cheap too. If I lived around there I'd be at least twice as fat as I am now.

I was going to recommend Milano's as well, but just last Sunday I went to Café Topolis on Parliament St for dinner and it was only delicious -

All pasta/pizza's are made fresh on the premises and they've a large downstairs area too, which may well accommodate your party.

Cafe Topolis is a grand spot for a pizza alright.

Wallace's Taverna over by the Millennium Bridge is grand, had a pizza there not too long ago and there seemed to be a large group upstairs (although I wasn't up there, so I can't say what size of a room it is). The place across from it (Bar Italia) has nice food as well, (although the room's not the best). I think it's the same people who have Dunne & Crecenzi.

Is Il Baccaro still open (around Meeting House Square, if I remember correctly)? That used to be nice, although I've not been there in ages.
