this site : http://www.nsrus.com (from the news page)

is run by him:

A.L.Byrne

37 Store Street,
London WC1E 7QF,
UK

and her:

so while mr. byrne may be irish, he's safely stirring shit from his gaff in london.

so if some of you can tear yourselves away from sarcastic posting, try putting pen to paper to mr. byrne.

These people are obviously fucked in the head. Writing to them is not going to change their minds about how they view things, it will only encourage them further, theres no point, they're bigotted, thats it. If it wasn't immigrants, it'd be something else. Ignore them, its all you can do. And I sort of resent your heading. Firstly, these people are a minority and secondly this exists all over the world, Ireland is not the only country where you'll find racism.

shit.

strange how these people always have a p.o. box instead of a real address. same thing for immigrationcontrol.whatever that was posted here a few months ago.

dan, i took the heading from the thumped news page (as i said in the first post), where the site is linked. but i agree with its sentiment. ignore them if you want. maybe they'll go away.

This makes me feel sick to think that ppl can be so ignorant and selfish. They fail to see that Ireland ourselves are the one of the biggest immigrants in the world that there really is no pure Irish and there never really was since the discovery that wood floats we are ALL a mix of races celts, normans, English, Vikings and shite (nazi's like them). The only thing that they keep in Ireland alive is the HATRED, and the bitterness.
Shit like this makes me so angry so most likely I was babbling with frustration.

i did a few searches on nsrus, and one name "liam" kept popping up in various right wing guest books ("check out my lame page bros! 88! duhhhhh!")
and his address was always "limerick"

also - i found an article somewhere about skrewdriver stickers poppin up around limerick...

the mind googles

another name cropping up is 'sally' or 'mary'; possibly the same person. anyone know what 'nsrus' means? is it N.S.-r-us? like toys-r-us or something?

From ireland.com:
FF may sue website inciting racism
(The Irish Times)
Fianna Fáil has threatened to sue a London-based website entitled Say No To A Black Ireland for linking the party with calls for attacks on immigrants in Ireland. Mark Hennessy and Nuala Haughey report.

The site alleges that Ireland is "under attack. Savages stalk the land. A parasitical invader raping and pillaging their way across sacred Ireland".

Condemning the site as "deplorable", Fianna Fáil insisted it would sue to ensure that it is in no way associated with the views expressed on the site.

The site also contains references to the Web pages of the Irish Defence Forces, University College Dublin, as well as a hypertext link to the Government's Website. The "National Socialists Are Us" site was created on July 9th in London, but gardaí say it is registered under a false name. They have already had two other racist Websites removed from the Internet, a spokesman for the Garda Racial and Intercultural Office said. Those behind the sites face prosecution under incitement to hatred laws.

Someone should do a report on Ireland being
targeted by foreign racist groups. (My eyes
are always runny.) TV3 could do it, those
paragons of journalism. Then they can do a
story on where Youth Defence actually get
their funding. Then they can do one on toast.

But great oaks from little acorns grow...
Htiler's popularity grew from an ignorable minority to majority election win in double quick time.
The other German politicians & the rest of Europe ignored him, allowed him to carry on, and then WW2 happened.

Bigotry is a by-product of ignorance. It's probably better to get these people before they reach the stage of setting up these websites, but I reckon a little lovebombing could work wonders.
Hit them with facts and keep the language clean.

Alternatively, there must be at least one Thmped poster with the skills to hack the website and take it down - or alter it's message.

Ya gotta love their spelling and grammar though. Their free use of capital letters is inspiring.

My point was that sending messages to people like this is not going to change their minds. How many times have you seen people on TV or elsewhere debate issues like racism, etc., and all it is is a load of people trying to shout louder than the other and not listening to each other. My point is the average numbskull fuckwit (racists, etc.) have their minds made up and their ears closed.

The best course of action is to do as you suggested, take down the website, try to convince those undecided not to follow these people and basically save those who can be saved.I apologise in advance for being a realist - I know its not politically correct anymore.

As someone whose name escapes me once said,
"What you call common sense, I call cynicism".

It's not just debates on racism - we have no tradition of rational dialog where people talk AND listen to each other in an attempt to arrive at a conclusion that satisfies them both. Listen to most arguments in Ireland, in real life or on TV, and you'll find people reiterating the same points over and over, without ever addresssing what the other has to say ... people seem to be more concerned with WINNING (by shouting louder if necessary) than communication or problem solving
Maybe it's an Irish thing, I dunno

when estel and somedaysbetter were playing in limerick, we were walking to a house after that termites club, and we were met by some drunken idiots looking for fights, giving heil hitler salutes, they heard northern irish accents, and proceded to go on about the queen, cromwell, ira and loads of other bullshit, and then went on to enthusastically talk about screwdriver....
and apparently they are notorius in limerick for all this!
but then again, they are supposed to start meetings and stuff like that and they always fall through or nobody turns up.
they seem fairly thick.
and to make matters more interesting [or completly stupid]
i think one of them was wearing a DK "nazi punks fuck off" t-shirt,
i don't think they have a clue....
