A friend is getting the No SIM alert on her phone

Nothing seems to fix it

If she restores it, is she in danger of losing anything?

Surely in 2015, everything from her contacts to her photos are in the cloud, yes?

Any help appreciated.

She's in danger of losing everything if she hasn't been backing it up, I'm afraid.
Is she not able to back it up in itunes, even with this alert?

icloud backup is quite small unless you're on a backup plan so it's pretty unlikely things like photos are in there, unless she set it up.

Get her to install dropbox to a machine, then connect her phone. dropbox *should* see the phone and offer to back up her pictures, which would be something anyway

You can backup 5gb to iCloud for free, that would cover contacts and other shit. Full backup to iTunes is best though.
