I was reminded of this compilation of Guided By Voices singles by Jane's thread suggesting Back To The Lake as a perfect pop song. I don't think I've ever heard a compilation so packed with brilliant songs that stay with you for ages. I bought the album in France a few years back, I'd say I was about sixteen, and rediscovered it a couple of months ago.

Favourite GBV tracks, anyone? I'd have to go with Things I Will Keep and Back To The Lake.
