I'd imagine theres a firmware release that will let you do that.

Google the model number of the drive.

you should be able to change the region through device manager.
right click my computer. go to properties -> hardware -> device manager
go to dvd/cd-rom drives and right click on the dvd drive and select properties -> dvd region and change it there.
you should be allowed 5 changes in total. some of em might only let you change from region to region though.

don't know if that'll definitely work though. haven't had to do it myself.
