saw them in london in june, they were great live.

I thought they were good live too... they whack the volume way up, the vibe is totally different to the recordings, way more energy. Glad to see they're playing here again.

Yeah, really friendly people.. got your man to explain his drum pad setup afterwards. Chuffed to pick up a copy of the LP, nice gatefold sleeve and white vinyl. Good gig, I thought the vocals were a touch low but you could make out most of what was going on.. 1.30am isn't an ideal kick off time for a concert when you're already a bit knackered after work though!

Yeah there were some rather wasted people falling around the tiny audience. What is the story with his drum pad set up?

It's a pad with a built in sampler that he loads sounds onto - he mentioned the make I think, but I can't remember it - that he hits with sticks or brushes, and there's also a bunch of acoustic percussion objects, woodblocks etc, which have mics taped to them which he uses to make it "sound a bit less canned", in his own words..
