Sorry Ro, I'm useless at gaeilge, remedial, maybe there's an actual gaeilgoir le fáil ar thumped anyway I thought you were in the Stát Seirbhís. The interface on that wrecks my head. Can you get it in print? I'd be more comfortable tryna get out my dictionary and tryna translate it if I had a copy of it in my hands.

I don'tknow what it is.

Sorry Cormac, i thought you were fluent - don't worry about translating. olc is bad i think.

well they like the song as far as I can understand it. Nope not anywhere near fluent alas, just trying to learn and relearn and capture a modicum of fluency eventually.

The latest edition of this compilation won't disappoint, especially not indie-dweebs etc etc

'the Irish groups included on this edition are Spook of the Thirteenth Lock from the captial city, and Mumblin Deaf Ro,who's lead singer shows talent/ability given that his (mealltach- this can mean either disappointing and crap, or enticing) song 'what's to be done with El Salvador' isn't too bad either.

Reviews of "The Herring and the Brine", by Mumblin' Deaf Ro

"endlessly inventive lyrics over warm, scratchy guitar folk and winningly unembellished pop tunes."

"a fine album of charming melodies, intriguing lyrics and a sincere, likeable approach to songwriting"

"enticing (or possibly disappointing and crap)"

Thanks to everyone for the help. I think the lesson we have all learned is that if you're going to praise or slag someone there's really no point unless they know what the hell you're talking about.
