here's a famous hubble picture, the hubble ultra deep field, hubble took a tiny point in the sky, and zoomed in like a bastard, way past all our own milky way stars and revealed this, about 8,000 galaxys in that one point in the sky. every point of light in the picture is a galaxy. fair play nasa.
