getting rid of a cold (1 Viewer)

A friend of my aunt overdosed accidently by taking both lemsip & paracetamol.

Not a nice way to go.

No. Thats rough. Horrible way to go.

What I was going to say... is, ehh, Neti.

Neti is great. You pour warm water through your sinuses... and it sort of washes them out. And, your head is lovely and clean after.
It doesnt hurt, it doesnt really feel like anything. All those head aches and pressure caused goes away, you can sleep much better, and breath better obviously.

Yeah... so, this would be my recommendation.

You can buy them probably from yoga shops... or online or whatever. Get the stainless steel one, cause it doesnt break, or get dirty.

Yes, I use neti every day and I haven't had a cold since I started using it, which is unusual for me.

Dr Briffa in the Observer recommends taking a gram of vitamin c every hour. It's good but vitamin C is laxative.

I usually go for a combination of Uniflu or Nurofen4Flu, Sudafed and lots and lots of hot curries - lots of onions, garlic, ginger and chili. The business.

And hot whiskey, of course.

Miso soup...

Loads and loads of fruit...

Sleep...

And if your sinuses are blocked, try using some Hopi candles (you need another for this)...

Philip from NYU Genomics recommends not bothering with all that VitC. Two tabs a day max, along with whatever else tickles your fancy.

Seriously, that amount of Vit C is not too clever.
