(My mom dislikes Mother's Day and says so vociferously every year no matter what you/do get for her, e.g. 'I don't know what you got me this crap for'. We've taken to just asking her what she wants and facilitating her increasingly bizarre requests - a Black & Decker workmate, red nail polish. Maybe she's working on the next Turner prize-winner in the shed, who knows!)
