FURTHER SEEMS FOREVER/SENSEFIELD MEMBERS TO PLAY IRELAND

Jon Bunch and Derick Cordoba are calling themselves FIELDS FOREVER in Europe.
"Dashboard Confessional frontman Chris Carrabba's former band..." This is the tried and tested introduction line to the Florida-based rock outfit known as Further Seems Forever, who recently concluded their farewell tour of the United States. Spawning initially from an eclectic array of bands such as Strongarm and Shai Hulud, the band's first release in 2001 ("The Moon Is Down") coincided with the departure of vocalist Chris Carrabba for greener pastures and mainstream radio with Dashboard Confessional. Despite this, Further - as they came to be known by fans worldwide - stuck to their guns. It paid off, as the peak of their success came in 2003 when MTV2 picked up the first single from their second album, "How To Start A Fire". Barely two years later, their second vocalist Jason Gleason left the band high and dry on the eve of a tour with an unfinished album due for release. That album would become the epic "Hide Nothing", a shining light in more ways than one. With the addition of seasoned indie vocalist Jon Bunch (Sensefield), Further Seems Forever overcame another massive obstacle and evolved once again, and the album remains their greatest success to this day. In early 2006, after years of touring and changes, the band decided it was time to call it a day; but some of the members were not finished yet. Vocalist Jon Bunch and guitarist Derick Cordoba decided to embark on a European Tour in order to repay the loyalty of their cult following. Combined with the talents of Chiemena Ukazim (from the tour's support act Movies With Heroes), they are calling themselves FIELDS FOREVER and playing acoustically all of vocalist Bunch's best songs for both Sensefield and Further. Irish fans can catch the boys at Eamonn Doran's in Temple Bar on Thursday, July 13th. Entry is €8 and doors open at 7.30pm.
