New Natives returns on February 5th with another stellar line up of fantastic bands that will be making waves in 2014! Entry is FREE and doors are 8pm.

This month we have alt outfit Color//Sound!

"Color//Sound, one of the most talked-about newcomers on the Irish music scene" - Entertainment.ie

"It’s no surprise to hear that Color//Sound have played alongside Cathy Davey, Turn & Villagers" - DublinConcerts.ie

"The definition of up and coming" - Odessa Club

"Happy harmonies, gently jangling guitars and velvet vocals emulate from these four fellas" - DublinConcerts.ie

Whelanslive - "Clearly have world domination on [their] mind'

Musicreviewunsigned.com - "This Dublin four-piece are quickly making a name for themselves"

Uandimusicagency.com - "a band of noted interest from the off."

With influences ranging from Elliott Smith and Jeff Buckley to Explosions In The Sky and Radiohead, this band draws inspiration from all genres and combines them to create their own explosive sound. After a year of extensive gigging alongside the countries cream of the crop, including Cathy Davey, Villagers, Little Matador, Neil Hannon & Turn, Color//Sound are currently working on a new single due out next year.

Oisin Furlong, Brendan McGlynn, Steven McCann and Ben Roe formed Color//Sound in 2012 at BIMM Dublin.

Joining them on the night are the well known The Choir Invisible!
The Choir Invisible are a four-piece pop band in Dublin. With shades of '60s French pop, jangly indie melody, shoegaze noise and the occasional suit, they've spent the past year making a name for themselves on the Irish live scene, as well as playing in the UK. Their singles have been spotted in Tokyo record shops, and have received occasional accolades from strange French websites.

They sing about escape and fantasy, about ticking time and about fast drives by clueless drivers at unreasonable hours. They have been featured on Dublin City FM, and a host of online radio shows and blogs. They sound like a dinner party in a bedsit with David Lynch.

Having released their debut EP Hundreds and Thousands in November 2012, they're currently readying a new single for spring 2014

"Highly promising" - Irish Times

Also performing are the fresh Almost Ghosts!

Growing up in the north Dublin village of Balrothery, Almost Ghosts had little more than a tennis court for entertainment. After realising they weren’t very good at tennis or it’s bizarre point tallying system they turned their focus to music.

Almost Ghosts have just emerged from two years of songwriting with their three-track self-titled début EP. Recorded in Dublin’s Hi-Tone studios over an 18-month period (it would seem that someone nicking the studio Macbook can set things back somewhat).

Almost Ghosts are Andrew McClelland (vocals, guitar & synth), Mike Daly (guitar & backing vocals), David Dooley (bass & synth) and Dan Curran (drums).

"their brooding dark rock début cleverly marries itself to the pop hooks of White Lies and math rock of Foals" - GoldenPlec (IRL)

"Their uplifting, high energy rock is reminiscent of early U2" - Flight of the Squawkatiel (USA)
