I am new to Thumped's Forum so I hope this is the right section
Heya
My name is Kieran Dold
I'm a graphic designer and electronic musician aged 20
been making music for 3 years now
I use FL studio, a gamboy and a Yamaha CS1x to make music with a guitarist and drummer
and my band is this one
but thats really here nor there
I have recently taken up the endeavor of starting a collective for anyone who makes electronic music and combines it with rock music
That can be a mix of anything from indie to metal to ska with anything from trance to electro to glitch
I've called it ERIC (electronic rock ireland collective)
I started all this in the hopes of organising every musician interested in the fusion genre into one place, in the hope of finding new bands and watching new ones form.
To create a community and one place everyone in Ireland can come and find out about the genre
And hopefully start throwing on gigs (but that may be a while yet)
In short I'm trying to address the complaints I had as a fan of the genre in Ireland by tackling the problems myself
It's in its early stages alright, but everyone has to start somewhere
I have gotten a couple of people and bands interested
and was wondering if you guys had any advice or ideas
and of course always looking for new bands/and musicians interested in starting something like this
