you've been outdone.

Now, most footballers are partial to a flash motor or two as an ultimate status symbol.

But to say this show-stopping chrome Mercedes-Benz SLR McLaren is just slightly attention-seeking would be something of an understatement.
The garish £420,000 supercar belongs to proud owner Blackburn Rovers' striker El Hadji Diouf.

Wanna ride with me: Diouf on his phone

And yesterday the 28-year-old striker chose to parade the souped-up engine around Manchester's trendy Living Room bar, a favorite celebrity hangout in the city.
His high-shine Mercedes is able to do 0-60 in an impressive 3.6 seconds and boasting a top speed of 207mph.
And the standout car will not only ensure people notice him as he drives by, but he can also check himself out in the reflective paintwork.
Judging by his 'rude boy' dress sense and his taste for life in the fast lane, perhaps he is vying to be the next presenter on MTV's Pimp My Ride.
He'd certainly be able to bring something of a 'chavtastic' appeal to the programme.

Sadly for Diouf, however, he cannot boast to being the first footballer to drive away with the mega engine.

Arsenal defender William Gallas also owns the same-style car - and he only paid £350,000 for his - as does his former Chelsea team mate Claude Makelele.
Diouf's other haul of cars include a customised white Range Rover, a Lincoln Navigator and Cadillac Escalade, a car David Beckham also has in his possession.

Senegalese footballer Diouf signed up with Blackburn Rovers in January after making a move from Sunderland.
He has also previously played for Liverpool, Bolton Wanderers and French football club de Lens.

His favourite position on the pitch is as right winger, but he can also play on the left wing or as a deep lying forward.
