Actually the tour of St Michan's crypts is good value - especially with the guy they have doing it.
It'll be a hard sell though.

I remember going there as a nipper on the school tour and thinking it deadly. I thought it was all gone now though.

Bring them around city centre- oconnell street first then temple bar and south side. Get a sightseeing bus this will take you to all good spots.Make sure you show them Guiness.Also go to Dalkey go up on Killiney Hill.Go to Howth. Wicklow mountains is cool. When people come to Ireland they expect to see green fields and sheep.Bring them to a trad session in a city centre pub, drink guiness.Riverdance is on in the Gaiety.Also all the art galleries are free unlike most European Cities.Finish it off with the Viking Splash tour. Bish Bosh
