DRUNKEN BOAT:
What started out as a guitar and synths project (Cut the Engines, Raise the Sails 2007), re-directed itself into a scattered and noisy folk two piece (Plumb the Depths 2009), evolved into a guitar-heavy 3 piece (Concrete Canyons 2010) has now grown into an alternative 4-piece. The band find themselves spellbound by bands such as Dirty Three, Sonic Youth, Neil Young, Polvo, The New Year, Bill Callahan and Sun Kil Moon.

BACK & TO THE LEFT:
Back And To The Left formed in 2008. Ex-Lambda members Adam and Dave jammed out some new ideas with pal/shell-pounder extraordinaire Fergal keeping the riddim tightly in check.
Originally performing as just a three-piece, they played a handful of earsplitting gigs in Dublin and at Healyfest 2009, more faces were felted firmly into the mud.
Fellow ex-Lamda member Ian was drafted in about year later, freeing Dave up to play guitar instead of bass. Ian's addition changed the band dynamics in the name of banter and thus the band's direction changed drastically from 'sagely loud noise-rock bonanza' to 'psychedelic-life-and -death rock' with 'songs that roughly analyse the depths of psychological disfunction, life, death and characters to judge, be they beautiful or simply tossers'.
Late last year, Dave's aptly-titled solo project 'The Dave Long Band' was consolidated and injected in to the faces of B&TTL with throbbing positivity and a brand new direction.

FAMILY PLANNING:
FAMILY PLANNING are a 3 piece band of interplanetary troubadours operating from a re-enforced underground bunker in Portobello, Dublin. Graduating from the Pavement style plinkings of Slurps in 2010, Aaron McGrattan, Shannon Duvall and Jason Juman formed Family Planning as soon as the hangover had worn off, and they had got their instruments out of pawn.
Making their live debut at Murderhäus Halloweenfest, Family Planning melted the faces clean off at least 16 people, other punters reported feelings of ''I can see glasses on everyone'' and ''Can I have a drag of that?''. Expect it to be HEAVY with complicated, fluid, unrambling, visual melody, feral beats, and a slight peak in atmospheric pressure. Bake for 30 minutes.
